“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Jamie, Pete and Angus: Clearly not ready for sleep, even though it’s well past bedtime.

First night on our holiday in Gerroa. It was touch and go for a while, with Jamie (on daddy’s lap) refusing to lie down in his portacot. We soon worked out that he didn’t want to share a room with the other two and so it was off to the spare guest room in his cot. Loved it. Slept through almost every single night we were there. As for Pete (pictured right), it was his first time in a big bed, which was quite exciting – for mummy anyway. By the last night though, he was quite over the holiday house and told us in no uncertain terms that he wanted to go home. Angus (pictured left) was breezy – all he needed was to be reassured that the big fish was going to stay on the wall…

Such a familiar, way past-bedtime shot in our house!! Isn’t it sweet how little kids love holidays, but they are always really ready to get home to all their old familiar stuff, I clearly remember Freddie being almost relieved to get home, to find that all his things were still in the same place. xx

We’re having trouble with on-time bedtimes as well – holidays & daylight savings is a very tricky combination! A great shot so crammed with fun and happiness!

Oh, boys! :)

Does Jamie have his own room back at home ? ‘Cause I find it so odd that a child his age actually wants to sleep ALONE! I love his independence. :)

Yes, he’s had his own room since he’s been born, so he’s extremely independent. It’s going to be quite a transition for him next month when we move him in with the other two boys…

Hi Ronnie
Lovely image. I think the idea of making yourself capture all three of them regularly is a fantastic one.
And I enjoyed hearing your holiday! Travelling with children is always novel, isn’t it?! x

Ronnie, your photos are so beautiful, as is your family. I can so relate to little people struggling to sleep in portacots! Have a good week x
