My one little word…

My one little word for 2013 is embrace.

Embracing pregnancy. Embracing birth. Embracing a new baby. Embracing the exhaustion of those early months. Embracing new routines. Embracing good habits. Embracing a healthy diet. Embracing new ideas. Embracing new friends. Embracing opportunities. Embracing busyness. Embracing patience. Embracing my growing family. Embracing my husband. Embracing my boys. Embracing motherhood. Embracing contentment. Embracing simplicity

Embracing the here and now.

Do you have a one little word for the year?

(Photo above: If you look carefully enough, you can see Jamie’s hair under Angus’ head, as well as his chubby little hand. Jamie, though almost indiscernibles, is embracing baby Edward, while Angus is embracing Jamie and Edward.)

CoCo January 31, 2013 at 9:06 am

I just stumbled across your blog yesterday – it’s great and such an enjoyable read. I’m 26 weeks along in my fourth pregnancy with 2 little girls at home waiting for their new sibling to arrive, having had a difficult time after losing a sister almost at full term a couple of years ago. Stranger again, I also chose ‘embrace’ as my word for 2013; as I figured we would be having many new changes in our lives this year and rather than ‘accept’ which was too passive for me, ‘embrace’ meant that I actively had to do something and control my reaction to the changes – hopefully in a good way. All the best in your journey in 2013; I’ll be following along :)

Pink Ronnie February 10, 2013 at 11:26 pm

Hi CoCo,
I’m so sorry for your loss. That must’ve been terribly hard for your other girls. I think that losing a child is one of life’s worst pains – if not the worst. We lost our first little boy, Cameron, at 41 weeks five and a half years ago and we continue to love him and miss him every day. Even though our other boys obviously never got to meet him, they all know about him and understand that he’s part of our family. We carry our little ones in our hearts always. Thank you for sharing this with me, it means the world. I shall be thinking of you and your family…
Ronnie xo

I love hearing from you!
