The theme for The Creativity Project this month is thankfulness. There were many photos I considered for this post, but in the end, I narrowed it down to this one image. Every day, I am thankful for our boys. I may not be the perfect mother, but they are indeed the perfect gift. And even though Cameron is not in the photo, I am eternally thankful for him too. His life and death changed me, moulding me into the person I am today.

Today in our (relatively) small city a cyclist was hit by a truck in a freak accident involving a car door being opened and killed instantly. I called friends when I heard, whom I thought it might’ve been, each time, thankful to hear their voice. The cyclist still hasn’t been identified and it still could be somebody I know, as the community is particularly small at this time of year. I said to someone while we were talking about it “it’s the sort of thing that makes you want to call your family and tell them you love them, because you just never know.”
It’s good to take those moments to be thankful – I needed to read this tonight. x
How utterly devastating for the cyclist’s family…..
Did you end up finding out who it was?
Ronnie xo
yes – a lecturer here at the university. He leaves behind a wife and two young children – so very sad.
Oh gosh. There are no words…
I love the image you chose. The image and your words are simply beautiful. Afterall family is truely everything, without them there woulnt be much there to live for… Wishing you all this best for this journey of life **hugs*
A lovely reminder. Thanks Ronnie. I am too so thankful for my girls. It’s so important that we sometimes (during those moment…..you know the ones!) step back, or just take a breath and remember to be thankful. x
It really is as simple as that, isn’t it?
Such a great project x

What beautiful post, Ronnie. Simple and yet so touching :)
They really are the most precious gift to be given. xx
Beautiful and touching.
Lots of hugs to you today, Ronnie. Though we’ve never met in person, you’re still one of the strongest women I know. :)
You know, Ronnie… I think Cameron is in every photo you take.

Beautiful. God knew you would be the perfect mother for your children, even in your imperfections. You were meant for them, as much as they were meant for you.
i love this photo, the boys are getting so big Ronnie god bless.
Your boys are beautiful, and you’ve captured them so well. They are lucky to have you!

A great post. I had that moment tonight when I was feeding Lulu & was just so thankful that she’s here. It’s great to just stop & appreciate the people we have in our lives x
simply beautiful …
I cannot believe how big the boys are getting Ronnie. I feel like they were all just babies yesterday!
I know – sometimes I wish they would stop growing… (other times, I desperately want all of them to be able to feed and change themselves!)

Truly beautiful…
