{ The green couch } This is fast becoming one of our favourite spots in the house. The boys love climbing up here and watching friends arrive and depart. I like to think that it helps visitors to feel instantly welcomed when they see the boys’ chubby little faces peering out and grinning widely through the window.
{ Beef pho } First trimester nausea has meant that I don’t really get to choose what I eat these days. Instead, food chooses me. And beef pho has been on my mind almost constantly in recent weeks. In fact, last Wednesday while Rick’s mum was here, I drove some fifteen minutes to the nearest Vietnamese restaurant just so the baby and I could consume this beef noodle soup goodness. My belly felt deliciously good afterwards…

I know – it’s turned out to be so perfect for the bay window! And it was such an awesome bargain find too.

I am sure your visitors enter your house with big smiles after seeing those little heads pop up from behind the couch. And pho is so good – pregnant or not – I hope you eat lots!
Oh yes, pho all day every day if I had my way…

I sure would feel welcomed if I saw those cute little faces smiling out at me, too. :D
And I’ve never had pho before… I don’t think… but it looks soo good & comforting!
Oh Latrina, you MUST try pho some day soon. It’s beef rice noodle in the best beef soup you will ever taste… and it’s actually very fresh and healthy (ie. good for you!).

I have just discovered your inspiring blog via che and fidel. I love your memory keeping books! I hope to do something similar with all my photos and memories of the kids. I am so sentimental and don’t want to forget a thing. I too am in those nauseous days of first trimester, and I have to say that beef pho has my mouth watering!
So lovely to have you here Viki! Thanks for visiting from Jodi’s beautiful blog. Congratulations on your pregnancy as well! It’s always nice to know someone else is going through the same thing… :) Do you live in Australia?

I couldn’t agree more, it’s nice to know you’re not the only one right!? I know people who breeze through pregnancy, so it’s kinda nice to know that other people feel the same as me (and I mean that in the nicest possible way!)
I’m from New Zealand, so a close neighbour :)
first of all, that couch is the best thing I’ve ever seen. No wonder your boys are always hanging around on it. hahah pho is a good choice!
LOL, thanks Allison! It was a bargain find on eBay. I’m so happy with it!

that’s a precious capture of your little boy on the couch. and it’s a lovely couch! think you found a gem right there!
It’s not easy getting a photo of Pete being still, so usually it’s all blurry action shots. I got lucky with this one. :)
