Wow, this has been the longest I’ve been away from the blog for some time now. Thanks for all your sweet messages and well wishes. Rick is doing really well, and all three boys seem to have bounced back to their usual selves. Unfortunately, it’s been a slower recovery than I anticipated for myself. It’s made me realise how important my health is, and how I seriously need to start taking better care of myself. No more slacking off with exercise. No more late nights. No more excuses.
I bought these beautiful flowers over the weekend in an attempt to bring back a bit of colour into my life. Angus and Pete were with me when I chose them, and they both took turns carrying them for me afterwards as we walked to the car. It was so sweet. They’re called cabbage flowers, and I reckon they’re the most gorgeous flowers I’ve seen in a while. You can surely expect to see a bit more of them around here this week.
I hope you are all well and staying away from the flu! Looking forward to posting regularly again and catching up on all your wonderful blogs.
More flora here.

I really need to get back into doing exercise too but it’s so hard to find the motivation when it’s so chilly…alI I want to do is sit on the couch, under a blanket and drink lots of warm tea!

Glad to hear you are all on the mend. And yes, you definitely need to take care of yourself. I think as mothers we tend to put everyone elses needs before our own. But it is important to remember that unless we look after ourselves then we can’t possibly look after those we love.
Beautiful flowers. I had always wondered what they were called. x
Those flowers are lovely!
Ugh, the flu can be horrible! I remember the last time I had it, it hung around for weeks! Even after I felt better I still had a disgusting sounding cough. Hope you’re all getting lots of rest and are on the way to a full recovery!
I know, that mucus is just terrible. I’ll be glad when I’m rid of it!

Wow, those flowers are stunning! I’m glad that you guys are finding your groove again. It takes a while, doesn’t it? Welcome back:)
I saw some at Bunnings on the weekend – they were selling them as decorative pot plants. Who would have thought boring old cabbage could be so pretty??!
Thanks for the heads up – I didn’t realise Bunnings sold them potted. :)
Thanks for stopping by too.
